My love for Mustangs began before any kids my age were even thinking about cars. Mia Thermopolis (from The Princess Diaries) started it all with her ‘66 convertible. (That car had a lot of personality; remember when it broke down in the middle of the rain storm with the top down?) I loved that she was a teenage girl with a classic Mustang.
I always thought that owning my own Mustang was a fantasy until it came time to shop for my first car. One late night after some daddy-daughter online car shopping we stumbled upon a 1965 Mustang Coupe. This car was perfect. Fresh paint, new engine, perfect price. The car was located over a mountain pass about two hours away and the plan was to purchase the car the next day. True to Colorado’s unpredictable weather, it snowed heavily that night and closed the pass. We planned to take a trip to Durango over the weekend, but the owner sold the car that week. I pined over that beautiful red Mustang.
Very bummed, we continued our Mustang search, convinced we wouldn’t find anything nearly as neat. With some extra hands on deck from family members we found an ‘03 Mustang Convertible. Our blues vanished; this car was even better. We purchased the car and so continued the Mustang fever.
This Mustang fever is our motivation for GarageWraps.com. We love our cars, and we want to share that passion with all other car enthusiasts.
